In honor of International Women's Day, we’re excited to share an interview with Jaspreet, the creator of Templatables, a female-founded digital stationery business that empowers people to take control of their time through digital planning.

She shares how she balances the demands of motherhood and business, her passion for digital planning, as well as valuable tips for those looking to streamline their lives.

1. To start, can you tell us a bit about yourself, both professionally and personally? Any other roles that you have beyond your work?

Templatables is a female-founded business on a mission to make planning effortless and empowering. Through our ever-growing collection of digital stationery, we help people take control of their time, get organized, and turn their ideas into action.

Before launching Templatables, I spent over a decade in the finance industry. What started as a personal passion for planning quickly turned into a business, and I feel incredibly lucky to now do what I love full-time, helping others streamline their routines and bring structure to their busy lives.

Beyond work, I recently stepped into my biggest (and most rewarding!) role yet - becoming a mum for the first time. These days, I balance life between my two “babies”: my little one and my business, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

2. How long have you been using digital stationery?

I started using digital stationery in 2019 when I got my new iPad. One of the first apps I downloaded was Goodnotes, and I began with a weekly planner since that suited my planning style at the time.

As the year went on, I found myself relying on my digital planner more and more, especially while traveling frequently for work. It was a game-changer to have everything in one place on my iPad instead of carrying around a bulky physical planner. The convenience of a digital planner, combined with the aesthetic you can achieve digitally, means I’ve never looked back.

3. How do you personally utilize digital planning for your schedule, work, and life goals? Can you give us some specific examples?

At this point, my daily planner is something I can’t function without! Everything I need to do goes in there—if I don’t write it down, chances are it won’t happen. I rely on it to manage everything, from growing my business to tracking my baby’s schedule, social events, and even carving out time for myself.

I usually color-code different areas of my life, either by using different pen colors or the highlighter tool. A few years ago, I started a simple gratitude practice, jotting down three things daily. Over time, I transitioned to a digital gratitude journal, adding photos and stickers—it’s now my creative space for reflection.

After having a baby, my body changed alot and so I started using a fitness planner to stay motivated and accountable. It’s helped me track progress and set realistic health goals.

For everything else, I rely on my digital notebook—it’s not as structured as my planner, but that’s okay! It’s my go-to space for brainstorming, jotting down ideas, and sketching out new designs. I also love switching up the colors to keep things fresh and fun.

4. How long have you been creating digital stationery? What initially sparked your interest in this field?

I’ve been creating digital stationery since 2020. I’ve always been a planner at heart, but I could never find a layout that felt just right, so I started designing my own.

When I discovered how hyperlinks could connect my daily, weekly, and monthly pages—eliminating the need to flip through endless paper—I was hooked! It sparked my passion for digital planning, and I’ve been dedicated to creating beautifully functional planners ever since.

5. What's your favorite digital stationery to use or to create, and why?

I’m definitely a planner girl - both as a creator and a user! I love designing planner spreads that help people stay organized without feeling overwhelmed. There’s something so rewarding about creating tools that bring clarity and structure to someone’s day.

For me, taking five minutes to plan and time-block my day makes all the difference. It helps me focus on what truly matters, stay proactive instead of reactive, and prioritize what’s important rather than just what’s urgent.

Beyond productivity, planning reduces my stress and ensures I make space for what matters; work, personal goals, family time, and even moments to recharge. Having a clear plan keeps me motivated, balanced, and in control of my time.

6. Any tips you would recommend to people who are new to digital planning?

If you’re new to digital planning, start simple. Begin by adding key dates to a monthly planner and creating a high-level to-do list—this gives you clarity without feeling overwhelmed. For busy days, I rely on daily planning and time-blocking to map out tasks and ensure they fit into my schedule. When things are lighter, I prefer a weekly planner for a flexible overview of my week.

The best part about digital planning is its adaptability as you can adjust layouts, erase, and move things around effortlessly. Don’t stress about perfection; focus on function first, and aesthetics can come later.

Most importantly, make planning a habit! Whether it’s setting up your week on Sundays or taking five minutes each morning, consistency is key. The more you use your planner, the more it will help you stay organized, reduce stress, and actually make time for the things that matter.

7. Is there any message you would like to share with other women on International Women's Day?

As women, we’re often expected to juggle it all—work, family, and everything in between but real balance comes from setting boundaries and being intentional with our time. Your time is one of the most precious things you have, so use it wisely. Instead of constantly reacting to others’ needs, prioritize what aligns with your goals, values, and happiness.

Planning can help you take control of your time, create space for what truly matters, and bring a sense of clarity and balance. You don’t have to do it all, and you certainly don’t have to do it all at once. Success isn’t about being busy; it’s about being purposeful. Give yourself permission to slow down, celebrate progress over perfection, and most importantly, support and uplift the women around you.
