When it comes to scoring student answers with Goodnotes Classroom, the foundations are simple: Prepare your assignment with Answer Zones, and set up the score with the scoring widget.

Our Lead Product Designer Mubarak Marafa (also known as Moby) walks you through that process.

Here’s a summary:

Preparing your assignments:

  1. You can use the Answer Zone tool to outline the areas of any worksheet or assignment where students will be writing their answers.
  2. The scoring widget allows you to quickly add what each question is worth (e.g. Question 1 is worth 5 points)

Start grading

  1. Switch to "Teaching Mode" to view all of your students' submissions
  2. Tap on each Answer Zone to assign points (e.g. 2 out of 2, 3 out of 5)
  3. The points will be automatically updated and synced for each student

Tip: You can also switch to "View by Questions" mode to grade all student responses for a single question at once
