Hello everyone, I am Tsai Weiyu, a 5th grade science teacher at an elementary school.

In my science classes, I have incorporated the entire science textbook into Goodnotes, allowing students to use their iPads and Goodnotes to take digital notes during lessons.

I'll give you an example - in one experiment, we're studying the effects of photosynthesis on plant leaves. For this, students need to make observations on the leaves under different lighting conditions.

In the past, students would record their observations in a written worksheet. But we know that visuals and photos are the most intuitive way to capture color changes.

So in my class, I have students add a blank page to the textbook page on this experiment. Then they can take photos of the leaves during the experiment and insert those photos into the blank note page.

Students can also use their digital pens to annotate the photos, maybe comparing the colors to a color chart and making notes like the date and what they did.

This allows the students to have a very concrete, visual record of their experimental process and results, which I find really helps them learn the material better.

I think this is a fantastic feature that allows students to engage more actively in the science learning process. I'd highly recommend it to other teachers.
